Dr Cath Rodgers

Dr Catherine Rodgers graduated from Liverpool University Medical School in 1989. Thereafter, Dr Rodgers studied postgraduate internal medicine in the Mersey regional rotation where she gained MRCP and was admitted to the Royal College of Physicians of London.

Dr Rodgers was appointed as registrar inn Genito-urinary Medicine (GUM) in the Liverpool Deanery where she commenced her specialist training in Sexual Health and HIV and she obtained the Diploma in Venereology (Liverpool) in 1993.

In 1994, Dr Rodgers was appointed Senior Registrar in GUM and HIV at St Mary’s Hospital, London, where she consolidated her specialist training in Sexual Health and also completed training in Psychosexual Medicine at the London Institute of Psychosexual Medicine.

Dr Rodgers was appointed as Consultant Physician in GUM and HIV Medicine in the summer of 1997 where she continues to work to this day. She has practised privately at London Bridge Hospital since 2000 and was invited to join the team of eminent Urological Surgeons at London Bridge Urology in 2006. Dr Rodgers was appointed as a Fellow to the Royal College of Physicians in 2004.

Dr Rodgers’ wide breadth of training enables to manage the whole spectrum of sexual health from straightforward sexual health screening to the management of complex, chronic conditions that affect individual’s sexual well-being.

Dr Rodgers’ main area of research has been the clinical management of chronic, recurrent vulvovaginal candidiasis

Dr Rodgers’ is regularly invited to educate GP’s on the wide range of topics in sexual health.
